York, Pa.May 1, 2019 - Westfalia Technologies, Inc. (Westfalia), a leading manufacturer of automated parking systems, announces it is offering a free Lunch and Learn to those who are interested in expanding their knowledge in automated parking systems. The Lunch and Learn program is a presentation-style session hosted by Ian Todd, Westfalia’s Director of Automated Parking, to employees during a 30-minute to 1 hour lunch break. The Lunch and Learn was created to help motivate employees while creating a workplace of communication, collaboration and learning.

Ian Todd, Director of Automated Parking, Westfalia, said, “The way we park our vehicles is undergoing a transformation. While navigating vast lots or gigantic parking garages has been the norm, crowded cities can no longer support this type of parking. Developers and designers are increasingly seeking a more efficient and sustainable way of parking vehicles, which is with automated parking systems.” He continues, “During my Lunch and Learn session, I will actively discuss how automated systems are changing the future of parking with lowered emissions, space savings, user safety, labor savings and energy savings, as well as the benefits of a turnkey approach to specifying such a system in a project.”

In addition to the in-person Lunch and Learn sessions, Westfalia, in conjunction with Architectural Record Academies of Digital Learning, is offering an online continuing education course on “The Evolution of Parking.” Expanding on the Lunch and Learn sessions, the article explores the different types of parking systems available in the marketplace and explains how automated systems are changing the future of parking.

Offering a large library of courses for architects and designers, The Architectural Record Academies of Digital Learning Education Center is the number one provider of free continuing education (CE) courses from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). These academies allow participants to focus on specific areas of design interest while earning CE requirements. Upon the successful completion of each academy, participants receive credits and a digital badge demonstrating their achievement.

Westfalia will highlight its robust automated parking system at the 2019 AIA Conference on Architecture June 6-8 in Las Vegas. For more information, please visit: https://conferenceonarchitecture.com/las-vegas/
